FORT WORTH -- Frances Maudine Ford went to be with the Lord on March 9, 2008.
Funeral Service: 1 p.m., Wednesday at New Hope Baptist Church, 6765 Dick Price Rd., Mansfield.
Burial: Medlin Cemetery, Trophy Club. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at Blessing Funeral Home, 401 Elm St., Mansfield. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to New Hope Baptist Church in Frances’ memory.
Frances was born August 31, 1929 in Ft. Worth. She began her career outside the home as a cook. Some of the places she worked include the Kennedale Nursing Home, a children’s home in the Ft. Worth area, and the Kennedale Senior Citizens Center, until she retired in 2004.
As a faithful Christian, she served her church in many capacities, including working in the church nursery and volunteering during Bible school. Frances was well loved by her family and her church family. She will be remembered as a very humble person with a great sense of humor, and as someone who loved animals and children. Most of all, she will be rememberd as a very loving and devoted wife and mother.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband: James A. Ford; daughter, Debra A. Ford; sisters, Nadine Johnson, Billie Gilmore; and by her brother, Lee Daniel. Survivors: Nieces, Barbara Bourassa, and husband, Andrew, Joni Freeman, and husband, Mike; nephews, Lee Roy Gilmore, Ronald Wayne Gilmore, and wife, Teresa, Danny Hogue, and wife, Linda, Jerry Hogue, and wife, Kris; and numerous extended family members and friends.
