The City of Kennedale would like to thank its citizens for their water conservation efforts during the last few days. Your efforts have allowed the city’s water system to replenish itself to near normal levels.

In an effort to ensure a safe water supply for the remainder of the dry summer months the City is implementing its Drought/Emergency Plan. The primary goal of the plan is to ensure ample water supply for home use, sanitation, and fire protection for our citizens.

Due to the continued drought and high temperatures, phase 1 of the plan will be implemented, beginning July 1st.
  • Landscape watering with hoses or irrigation systems is limited to a twice per week schedule. This includes parks, and sports fields. Watering with a hand-held hose, soaker hose, or drip irrigation is allowed at any time.
  • Residential addresses that end in an even number, (0, 2, 4, 6, or 8) may water on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Those ending with an odd number, (1, 3, 5, 7 or 9) may water on Thursdays and Sundays.
  • All non-residential sites may water on Tuesdays and Fridays. This includes apartment complexes, schools, common areas maintained by homeowner or neighborhood associations, businesses, industries, parks, medians, etc.
  • Watering is strictly prohibited during the hours of 10:00am to 6:00pm.
  • We thank you in advance for your continued conservation efforts. You will be advised of any changes in the plan as conditions dictate.

This message may be viewed on the web sites of the City of Kennedale and the Kennedale News. If you have any questions or would like to be removed from this call list, please call 817-985-2120.
