6/14 Driving While Intoxicated
400 block Kennedale Pkwy
At 12:37 am an officer was dispatched to the 400 block of W. Kennedale Parkway for a motor vehicle accident. On arrival a blue 2002 Dodge pickup was resting on top of a fence next to the roadway. There was no one with the vehicle, which registered to an address in the 700 block of Crestview. The vehicle owner was home and advised that he had loaned the vehicle to a family member.

 The vehicle owner gave the officer two possible residences that the family member might go to. A second officer located the family member/driver at one of the residences. After questioning, it was determined by the officers that the family member, a 22 year old male, had injuries consistent with being in a vehicle accident and had been drinking. This was confirmed by a witness who was present. The male was unable to pass a Standardized Field Sobriety test and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.

6/14 Burglary of Building
800 block Kennedale Pkwy
At 7:51 am an officer was dispatched to the 800 block of E. Kennedale Parkway on a burglary report. The location is a self storage facility. The complainant, who rents a storage unit, stated that between 06-13-2009 and 06-14-2009 person(s) unknown cut the padlock off of her unit. Several items were missing but were not listed in the report. The complainant agreed to provide a complete list with serial numbers later.

6/15 Criminal Mischief 1500-20,
 900 block Bowman Springs
At 4:01 am, an officer was dispatched to a business in the 7200 block of I-20 service road for a burglar alarm. On arrival the officer met with the business owner and walked around the location. They discovered a broken window on the north side of the building. Nothing was missing at the time of the report.

6/15 Driving While Intoxicated
800 block Dick Price Rd
At 2:20 am an officer observed a white Chevy pickup speeding in the 1200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway. The vehicle, which was being operated in an erratic manner, turned onto Dick Price Road and was stopped in the 800 block for investigation. The officer could smell alcohol on the driver’s person and had him exit the truck. The driver, an 18 year old male, was unable to complete a field sobriety test and was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated. The driver
was transported to Mansfield for a breath test. The result was a BAC of 0.131. He was booked into the Kennedale municipal jail.

6/16 Possession of Control Substance
5000 block I-20 Service Rd
At 8:39 pm an officer stopped a maroon 2001 Kia for driving left of the center line in the 5700 block of the I-20 service road. During an interview with the driver and passenger, the officer located several small bags of a white powdery substance on the passenger’s person. The substance tested positive for cocaine. The passenger, a male, was arrested and booked into the Kennedale municipal jail for possession of a controlled substance.

6/17 Assault Bodily Injury Family Mem
300 block Mansfield Cardinal
At 10:32 pm, officers were dispatched to a disturbance in the 300 block of Mansfield Cardinal Road. Officers made contact at the scene with two females and one male. One of the females, age 18, reported that she had been beaten by three other females while walking home from the Dollar General store. The female had obvious injuries from a physical assault. After interviewing all parties present, the officers determined that the victim had in fact been assaulted by the male, age 19, who is the female’s boyfriend. The male was arrested for Assault Bodily Injury on a Family Member. He was booked into the Kennedale municipal jail.

6/18 Public Intoxication
300 block Kennedale Pkwy
At 9:21 pm an officer was dispatched to1302 W. Kennedale Parkway on an intoxicated person complaint. On arrival the officer located a white 1994 Chevy pickup parked on the property. He also observed a 27 year old male walking from the store to the truck. The male was obviously intoxicated and stated that he had left Showtime Cabaret, driving to the store at 1302 W. Kennedale Parkway. The male stated that he was unable to drink and had a breath test unit attached to his truck. The officer placed the male under arrest for Public Intoxication as he stated that he had been taking several prescription medications and was intoxicated. Several prescription medications were located in his vehicle. The male was booked into the Kennedale municipal jail.

6/19 Assault Bodily Injury Family Mem
200 block Pine Meadows
At 10:43 am an officer was dispatched to an assault complaint at the Kennedale police facility. The officer made contact with a 19 year old female who advised she had been assaulted by her 20 year old boyfriend. She had obvious signs of a physical assault. The victim was checked by Kennedale Fire-Rescue personnel and transported for treatment. The victim advised that she would complete the report when she was released by the hospital. Further attempts to contact her have been unsuccessful.

6/19 Burglary of Building
800 block Kennedale Pkwy
At 4:04 pm an officer was dispatched to 813 E. Kennedale Parkway on a reported burglary of a storage unit. On arrival the officer contacted the complainant, who rents a storage unit at the facility. The complainant stated that between 06-18-2009 and 06-19-2009 person(s) unknown had removed the lock from her storage unit and removed several items of property, including electronics and a bicycle.

6/20 Assault Bodily Injury
300 block Spring Branch
At 3:00 am an officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Springbranch regarding an assault. Upon arrival the officer met with a 20 year old male victim who appeared to have been involved in a physical altercation. The male stated that he had been involved in an altercation at a party in Mansfield. He had obviously been drinking heavily and stated that after the fight he had been driven to the Springbranch location and left. Mansfield PD was notified and responded to handle the call.
