Incoming members are: Tino Angadicherel, Sam Ramey, and Tia Angadicherel

Members were invited to attend the Council meeting and certificates were presented to each. A motion passed to re-appoint Nathan Degan, Victoria Pearce, Nikki Funderburck, Fahad Ali, Antoinette Sims, Jeffrey Edwards, and Timothy Brestowski to the Youth Advisory Council; and to appoint Tino Angadicherel, Sam Ramey, and Tia Angadicherel as new members to the Youth Advisory Council.

The Youth Advisory Council was started earlier this year. City Councilman Brian Johnson said, “Its one of the things that came out of the strategic planning process. The idea was to get the youth more involved because that gives you a different perspective of what’s going on in the city. Maybe some of the needs we have for a better community.”

According to Johnson, Councilman David Green talked to Mrs. Wade who runs the leadership class at KHS and began organizing the advisory council. The YAC is comprised of 10 members. The goals are to create events in the community that the young people will attend and to have a better dialogue between the youth of Kennedale and the city administrators.
